Be applying the National Framework and Codes of Practice relevant to Age Restricted Legislation compliance (published by BEIS Office for Product Safety & Standards) to securing Primary Authority and Assured Advice.
Have awareness of age verification techniques, including the PASS Proof of Age Standards Scheme and developments in technology including PAS 1296:2018 (Online age checking), artificial intelligence and RegTech solutions.
Have an awareness of tactics and techniques used by law enforcement officers to undertake age restricted goods test purchasing.
Be able to confidently develop and deploy effective business due diligence systems relating to age restricted sales.
Understand internal and external control measures to secure compliance with age restricted sales legislation.
