- Be applying the National Framework and Codes of Practice relevant to Age Restricted Legislation compliance (published by BEIS Office for Product Safety & Standards) to securing Primary Authority and Assured Advice.
- Have awareness of age verification techniques, including the PASS Proof of Age Standards Scheme and developments in technology including PAS 1296:2018 (Online age checking), artificial intelligence and RegTech solutions.
- Have an awareness of tactics and techniques used by law enforcement officers to undertake age restricted goods test purchasing.
- Be able to confidently develop and deploy effective business due diligence systems relating to age restricted sales.
- Understand internal and external control measures to secure compliance with age restricted sales legislation.
